August 2026 Outer Harbour Channel and Road Works — How to Reach Majesty
Four changes are landing around the Outer Harbour in the second half of the year. Here are the effective dates, item by item, and how Majesty's free private car steers around the road works.
This notice covers one thing only: from today until the end of the year, the roads and the shipping channel around the Outer Harbour are both under works, and Majesty Spa — on the 1st floor of the Harbourview Hotel at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf — sits right between that road and that stretch of water, a few minutes’ drive from the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, with Avenida da Amizade in front of the building forming part of the Grand Prix circuit. Ferry fares, the channel, the road surface and checkpoint clearance — four changes, all falling on the route you take to reach us. We have gathered the published dates on one page to help you plan.
1. The Dates: What Changes When, and What It Means for Reaching Fisherman’s Wharf
| Date | Change | Effect on reaching Fisherman’s Wharf |
|---|---|---|
| 17 August – 31 December 2026 | Dredging of the Outer Harbour channel near Buoy No. 7, the approach to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal (Marine and Water Bureau Notice 48/2026) | Work vessels operate while ferries enter and leave; allow some flexibility in sailing times |
| 18 August 2026 | New self-service clearance arrangements at the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, Hengqin and Qingmao checkpoints (gov.mo news 406728) | Shorter clearance for guests arriving by land from Zhuhai or Hong Kong |
| 21 – 24 August 2026 | Resurfacing of the Grand Prix circuit on Avenida da Amizade, including the stretch past the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal (Transport Bureau) | Traffic diverted on the road in front of the venue; driving or hailing a taxi takes longer than usual |
| September – October 2026 | The Transport Bureau has announced further works on the same stretch | Check the Bureau’s latest notices again before setting off |
| 24 August 2026 | TurboJET Macau–Shekou fares restructured | Fares from Shekou rise; see the table below |
| From 31 August 2026 | Macau–Manila and Macau–Chongqing flights increase to daily (Macau International Airport timetable) | More arrival times to choose from for guests from both cities |
| From 5 October 2026 | STARLUX Macau–Taichung increases to twice daily (Macau International Airport timetable) | More room for same-day return trips from Taichung |
The road works dates above follow the Transport Bureau’s notices; schedules may be postponed or extended, so please check the Bureau’s latest notice again before you set off. The channel dredging follows Marine and Water Bureau Notice 48/2026; the checkpoint arrangements follow Macao SAR Government Information Bureau press release No. 406728.
2. TurboJET Macau–Shekou: Old and New Fares from 24 August
The ferry from Shekou straight to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal has always been the shortest water route to Fisherman’s Wharf. TurboJET’s official fares page announces that fares on this route are restructured from 24 August 2026 as follows:
| Class | Before 23 Aug | From 24 Aug |
|---|---|---|
| Economy | Weekday HK$215 / holiday HK$275 | Flat HK$296 |
| Super | — | HK$480 |
| VIP | Priced per cabin | HK$548 per person |
In other words, the weekday economy fare rises by about 37.7%, and the holiday economy fare from HK$275 to HK$296, about 7.6%; VIP moves from per-cabin to per-person pricing, so the smaller the party, the more this item shows. Ferry fares are set by the operator and have nothing to do with the venue’s charges, but since they directly affect the cost of reaching Macau, we felt they were worth setting out.
3. Once the Ferry Docks, We Take Over the Rest
The road works above concentrate on the stretch between the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and Fisherman’s Wharf. Guests who book via this site need not deal with that stretch themselves — the perks current as of August 2026 include free private car transfer anywhere in Macau, by private car rather than shared ride:
- Off the ferry and into the car — the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge Macau checkpoint, Qingmao, the Border Gate or your hotel; tell us where you are
- The driver handles the diversions — how to get around the resurfacing and which drop-off point is smoothest is judged on the day by a driver who knows the Outer Harbour roads, so you need not study the diversions yourself
- The return is covered too — back to the checkpoint, terminal or hotel, with no hailing taxis beside the works
Telling us a day ahead is a suggestion, not a deadline: we do our best with last-minute messages too; it is simply that vehicle scheduling is tighter than usual during the works, so the earlier you tell us, the earlier the car is arranged. Coverage and routes are described on the directions and transfers page.
4. In a Month of Rising Ferry Fares, Our Listed Price Is What You Pay
As of August 2026 the venue is open 24 hours, with therapists on duty daily from 14:00 to 06:00 the next day, listed prices that include service charge and tax, a published range of MOP 1,099 – 5,899, and payment by cash, card, WeChat Pay or Alipay. One more point on cost: the venue’s listed prices already include service charge and tax (pricing current as of August 2026) — whatever the price board says is what you pay at the till, with nothing added. Take the Shanghai-style massage: on the August 2026 menu it is MOP 1,599, and the bill is 1,599. In a month when ferry fares are rising, that clarity counts.
By the published series prices as of August 2026: Shanghai-style massage MOP 1,599, East-Asian & Model MOP 2,999 – 3,799, Influencer & Western MOP 4,299 – 4,399, Global & Showgirl MOP 4,899 – 5,299, Japan/Korea · HK/Taiwan MOP 5,899; each series is described on the prices page. Prices follow the venue’s current menu confirmed when you book.
Timing during the works is worth a thought as well: the venue is open 24 hours as of August 2026, and during the four days of resurfacing daytime traffic is the most disrupted, so if your schedule allows, avoid the busy afternoon and come in the evening for a much smoother journey; with therapists on duty 14:00 to 06:00 the next day as of August 2026, an evening arrival covers both.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the channel dredging suspend ferry services? Marine and Water Bureau Notice 48/2026 is a works notice for the channel, not a suspension notice; sailings follow the operator’s announcements on the day. Message us on arrival and the car heads to the terminal to collect you.
Is it still a good idea to come during the 21–24 August resurfacing? Yes. The works affect the driving route, not the venue’s operation. For guests booking via this site the driver handles the diversions; if you are driving yourself, check the Transport Bureau’s latest notice before setting off.
Does the new self-service clearance apply at the Border Gate? No. Under Government Information Bureau press release No. 406728, the arrangements from 18 August 2026 cover the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, Hengqin and Qingmao checkpoints — Hong Kong permanent residents and Macau residents may use their Mainland Travel Permits in both directions, and Hengqin’s joint inspection extends to Taiwan residents holding five-year Taiwan compatriot permits and certain long-term foreign residents; the Border Gate is not included.
Will other costs of a visit rise after the ferry fares? Ferry fares are set by the operator and are unrelated to the venue. The perks current as of August 2026 are unchanged: booking via this site gives no entrance fee, 1 free add-on service of your choice and the free private car transfer above; the venue’s listed prices continue to include service charge and tax. Other common questions are answered in the FAQ, and the venue’s background is under About Majesty.
The Outer Harbour’s roads and waters are both under works, but your journey need not become complicated — tell us which checkpoint or terminal you arrive at and roughly when, and leave the rest of the route to us. Book now.
