Macau Sauna, Majesty Spa: Grand Prix Saturday Night, Bringing a Friend to Majesty

Say a friend is flying into Macau for the Grand Prix, and Saturday night is yours to host. Where you take him is the host’s question. Majesty Spa is on the 1st floor of the Harbourview Hotel at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, and the name on its glass entrance reads Majesty, in English and in Chinese. Among the saunas in Macau it is known for the most lavish interiors, so the place makes its own introduction before either of you says a word.

In the hall, each to his own

At Majesty you choose your therapist in person, in the main lounge. You and your friend each name a series to the manager, whichever suits your own budget and taste, and the manager brings the therapists on duty over and introduces them to you both, one by one. Once you have seen them up close, each of you tells the manager who you have chosen. As the host you do not choose for your friend. He makes his own choice.

Two guests, two rooms

Each of you has a private room and the therapist you chose for the hour. Once the door closes, the host’s job is done for the night: the hour goes the way she leads it, and anything you would like, you only need to tell her. You have been the host all evening. For this hour, you are Majesty Spa’s guest of honour.

The recliners are where you meet

When you are both done, the recliners in the lobby rest area are where you meet up again. There is one more thing there, free only for bookings through this site: an add-on service done on the recliner by another masseuse. Back scrub, hand massage, manicure and the rest of the eight are on offer, and you pick one once you are on the recliner. If you want a rest before you leave, the recliner is the place for it.

Before or after dinner

The Macau Grand Prix runs from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November. Saturday 21 November is the day of the motorcycle race final, and more finals follow on Sunday. Majesty’s doors are open around the clock, and the therapists are on duty from 14:00 to 06:00 every day. Dinner first and Majesty after, or the other way round, Saturday evening fits either way.

A host’s question: will service charge appear on the bill?

No. Every price at Majesty Spa has service charge and tourism tax folded in, so a host is never surprised: what the menu shows is what the bill shows. A car to where you are staying

When you book through this site, a free private car collects you and your friend from where you are staying, and the return trip is arranged in advance.
